Hi Jimmy

We are currently shipping a box with openSUSE preinstalled :

The scope is the world, the HQ of our companies is in Rouen, France :

We are being aproached by other editors other than SUSE and this email is to say: OK guys, we need your help to get the edu part of openSUSE to the schools, colleges etc.
Sounds great! Which openSUSE Version did you use? For openSUSE 10.2 we already have the openSUSE-Education Add on 1.0 available for download on (for example) ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/education/ This media is an add on media which can be used during installation or afterwards to install the educational applications ready for openSUSE. At the moment, we are working on a version for openSUSE 10.3 which should be ready in a few days (hopefully) containing a lot of additional packages in comparision to the 10.2 release. Currently the RC2 is ready for download in the same directory (see above). I hope we can release the final one next week - but this depends on fixing the last bugs (reported on http://bugs.opensuse-education.org/) and get everything build as we need it. Perhaps it's a good starting point to read the wiki pages under http://en.opensuse.org/Education to get an overview about the project and the current status.
2. We have now a sub licence to use Linux as www.linuxuniversity.fr
Whatever that means - sounds good ;-) With kind regards, Lars -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-edu+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-edu+help@opensuse.org
