Take a look at TightVnc.com. They have a version that will allow a view only
instance of VNC. In addition you should not need to do the daisychain
solution. One vncserver can allow multiple vnc client connections. When you
start up the VNC server look for a flag that forces shared desktops
(-alwaysshared).
