I love the simplicity of this answer - that disguises so many of the
problems you'll face.
Ideally you will need a latest version of SAMBA which has better/improved
windbind support. Then you need to go away and read all the documentation.
A course on how to write PAM authentication modules is desirable. - If you
learn how to use them - perhaps you could then write a few pages to let a few of
us normal mortals into their secrets - especially on how NOT to lock yourself
out of the linux box all together.
Then you join your linux box to Win2K domain using samba and set up winbind and
test it - so you can see all users.
Once you have it working - tell us how to do it.
