An obvious opportunity here.....assuming that there are a reasonable number of schools using/potentially using linux on the desktop, or linux server based apps and content...... COL has £100m of funding in the market this year and an additional £100m next year for schools to spend on curriculum (related) content...all it needs is for the content to be registered and for the supply side to be set up....... Any schools or suse individuals who own IPR could both promote the suse/linux message and of course earn some revenues to keep the wheels turning in this way...... Even content/apps which are not Linux specific, but Linux capable, and which are not already registered would be of interest... Happy to have a more detailed discussion with anyone who would like to see how to take this forwards... There's also a fair few worksheet type resources, which, while more or less invariably MS Office, should be easily adapted to OpenOffice.org and much of which will probably just work without any conversion work. And of course, lots of apps work well under Wine. I'd be pleased to hear if anyone knows of others. Should be a SchoolForge-UK Wiki page, I think.
