Study sponsored by Microsoft, hardly likely to be impartial...
A five year study covering Windows 2000 and we are in 2002,
how long are Microsoft's years?
They have five catagories
Network infrastructure: Where do you get either Microsoft
or Linux branded faceplates, cat-5 cable, patch leads, etc?
File serving
Print serving: I've never seen a study which separated the
two before.
Security applications: could mean anything.
Web serving
They then put percentages on these, but without the
methodology being explained in detail these have no
meaning what so ever.
