You don't say which platform you're running on. Here's part of the output from an IIS / asp script which cycles through the built in variables. PATH_INFO /asp/builtinvariables.asp PATH_TRANSLATED c:\intranet\asp\builtinvariables.asp SCRIPT_NAME /asp/builtinvariables.asp No time to check whether this is IIS specific. HTH.

I'm writing a simple cgi counter for my school's website. I need some way of getting the name of the current page via the cgi. the closest i've got so far is the enviroment variable HTTP_REFERRER, but tells me the previous html page and not the current one :-(
