It tells you that you are running KDM as a display manager, with KDE installed into /opt/kde. The relevant configuration files will therefore be /opt/kde/share/config/kdmrc (or /opt/kde/share/config/kdm/kdmrc) and /etc/X11/xdm/* In particular, look in /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess and check for a line similar to: * #any host can get a login window Michael
