Another possibility is VNC.
VNC is at at&t's website http://www.uk.research.att.com/vnc/ Its purpose is create a session between a client and a server allowing the client to control the server. A pukka X server will allow you to run multiple apps on the local and remote machine, so VNC is not quite the same. But it does allow a win* machine to control a Unix one and vice versa which is neat. That's its main purpose I think. When you run an app you are running it on the remote station and viewing that machine's (virtual) screen. -- ******************************************************************************** All mail sent and received may be examined to prevent transmission of inappropriate attachments and certain obscenities.
