Is there anyway of resolving this and getting the address parsed correctly?
This would also be a problem with bcc: email too. This is why the fetchmail FAQ recommends that you don't use it (although this states that you will lose email - when you actually just end up with it being delivered to the default user ...) There is a work around but it is a real pain - if you have specific users that subscribe to different mailing lists, then you could put a fetchmail line in which states (for example) suse-linux-uk-schools@suse.com is 'my address' here (forget the syntax, but you get the idea :-) Told you it was not nice. The only solution that I know of, is to get your ISP to insert some kind of 'envelope' header, which lists the real recipient of the email. Fetchmail then knows who to send the email to every time. This is what uklinux.net do - and how I handle multidrop email on my Linux box at home. I believe freeserve may do it too .. not sure. Some ISPs won't do this as it has privacy issues - there is now a record of the bcc address in the email headers, etc. If you forward me an email (or view the email headers yourself) I could have a look for you ...
