Boots up fine to KDE. Had a nose around, read the manuals (SuSE and Intranet Black Book) Can't get it to talk to the internet or my one connected PC.
1/ If it's connected to the internet remove X-windows right away :) You can edit with joe or vi or Emacs. Joe is easy. For example type 'joe /etc/ppp/ip-up' to view a file. To save type 'ctrl-k-x' for help try 'ctrl-k-h' whilst in joe. 2/ for ISDN config you have to do 'isdnctrl addif ippp0'. Under YaST select your card. What is your card ? Do 'isdnctrl --help'. See also the documents that come with the distribution.
Tried setting up using YAST2 and Yast. Think I might be getting IP addresses, Nameservers, remote gateways confused...?
Could be :) Running Linux from O'Reilly is your friend. £23.50. Saves all those embarassing trips to the gents. There is an ISDN list for those machines that just won't have it. See... http://www.sheflug.co.uk/isdn.htm Thanks -- Richard
