Hi all, I've just joined the list having purchased SuSe Linux 7 to try to network a room of around 25 old PCs obtained through "Tools for Schools" in some fashion... I'm wanting to take this in stages and I'd like to kick off by networking a handful of them to share a printer. The PCs are running Win95 and have network adaptors inside them. I've obtained an "Intel Inbusiness Print Station" (basically an adaptor that connects 2 printers to a network, left over from an NT network installation), and I've put Linux on one machine to act as the print server. Now what do I do? :o) Could anyone give me pointers to any documentation or, better still, give me a brief idea of what I need to do. Do I need to use some kind of hub to connect the machines together? My long-term hope (plan being far to strong a word!) is to progress to file-serving the complete room so the pupils no longer need rely on floppies. Thanks, Jay
