I've been playing around with Suse for some time now.
(1)My installation of Star Office is completely in German
so even if there are 'options' I don't know where to click.
Does anyone know if I can switch it without a re-install - and
what do I need to do to effect a re-install of just Star Office
which seems to be outside the automated install.
(and how do you un-install it for that matter?)
(2)I have had several little goes to get SAMBA up and running.
I have been trying to use the SAMBA setup tool in KDE.
I have tried 'binding' the net interface and entering a path
to be shared as test. Then I save the file. (Do I need to reinitialise
anything now?). I then try net use Y: \\a.b.c.d\test and it complains
about not been logged on.
What should I do?
Can I use the set up tool to make the LINUX box part of my existing
Domain? What do I need to set?
Can I make it a BDC alongside our PDC?
Can the exising NT domain authenticate access to the LINUX box - or just
to LINUX shares?
Sorry...thats a lot of questions - but I thought these was no point in
a wild goose chase.
