At school where I work as an IT Tech we (I) set up all our HP laserjets with bootptab.
This is from an armBSD server. The Laserjet 2100 automatically wants to use bootp
to fetch its set up info. It also works with HP8000s and HP 4500s.
Linux is not that helpful with bootp it exists but it is not realy documented.
As soon as I can I will publish to the list how we set it up at school with
samples etc.
It may need some tweeks but I am sure that Roger will assist where I miss out.
Do not hold you breath, just wish me a free few minutes.
