Hi Adrian
I saw your email about using LINUX as a proxy server. Have you actually done this. If so how did it >perform, is it difficult to install onto a server etc.

Not yet George, I am in the middle of upgrading (?) our Novell 3.12 Server [apart from (water in the keyboard - don't ask!) the other day, the last down was in July last year] to NT4, without taking admin off line (well okay 3.5 hrs on Monday) - So I'm a little preoccupied! :-) I have setup a server/Internet proxy at home, but was not very impressed (SAMBA is okay, SQUID doesn't like the hardware much), but I am using a dialup to Freeserve at 14400 and a P133 server with 52MB & 2x 2G IDE HDD - all a bit cobbled. so hardly state of the art. I attempted to install a mail server using the same setup but haven't get it working yet, as my boy keeps reminding me. :-( At school I hope to have a PIII 600, 256M of ram and a 20+G HDD and a 128K ISDN, so it should run a little quicker! :-) I'll let you know if/when I get the money. Kind regards Adrian
