Hi folks,
In broad, the itinery for Thursday I hope will be as follows:
1000-1030 arrive and tea/coffee etc.
1030 Welcome
1035-1230 Becta, the "Powys" build, suitable hardware (deals) and
overview of Webmin. (Malcolm)
1230-1400 Break
1400-1425 VMWare, demo and discussion (John Edwards)
1430-1455 SuSE, update and Educational support plans (Roger)
1500-1600 LinuxIT - listening to educational needs; general discussion
before departure. (LinuxIT rep and us)
Obviously there will be short breaks between sessions and there will be
opportunities to chat and look at areas of particular interest. I hope to
provide machines running Corel, Applix and Star Offices (Any help there
Roger? I have an old version of Applix.)
Now I need to have an idea of who will be coming so that I can get the right
quantity of milk, etc. The school postcode is CR6 9YB, which will allow you
to find a map on the web. For arrivals at East Croydon BR station, the 403
bus leaves Fairfield Halls (close to the station) to "Hamsey Green" and
Tithe Pit Shaw Lane is nearly opposite the bus stop. From Warlingham Station
it is about 20 mins walk ALL UPHILL! The front and back gates will be open -
front is best for cars. The school is unmissable and has the school flag
flying. I will put out signs on the day, too, when I know which rooms we
will actually be using! I shall be at school from much earlier than 1000
(about 0730 I expect) so don't worry if you get in early.

Best wishes, Derek Harding
