I find it interesting that the best advice that Bob has been offered during this debate to promote LINUX has been RTFM!
I had hoped for "Linux Ltd are the company you need, superb service, they will supply all you need and offer 2 working day - on site - maximum response time, they've been doing schools for years". I don't think they exist. I could spend a few days of the holiday 'playing' but I don't think that I'd be able to simulate 1300 users and 150 workstations easily and - for a one off - what I have (MS exchange server and MDaemon) works brilliantly - it just brings the whole system down when a class of 30 start to use it. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Just slightly off tack for a moment ... I don't think that rubbishing the 'opposition' will earn this group any merit, surely Linux can stand by itself? There was a nice quote somewhere along the lines of :"I don't need to put out your candle to make mine burn more brightly" - not quite right but perhaps you get the idea. Bob
