Subject: [suse-linux-uk-schools] Applications in Linux
Hello
I have managed to get my 486 running with a KDE.
Can I just mount the CD in KDE and double click on an application or,
indeed, a file to run/open it?
You should have a CD Icon on the desktop to open a CD (in the drive)
You can run things off the CD, but the usual way is to use YAST ( the yellow
thing on the panel - not the Yet Another Seagull T**d that it looks like) to
change packages. Look at (f2) the package description and try and read what
flashes past as you install the package.
