I can understand this interpretation, but it isn't the only one.  A source is 
also quite simply the point of origin or the place from which something is 
obtained.  If I have a bag of oatmeal, my source for the oatmeal is the store 
where I bought it.  Their source is the dealer, etc.  Source is very normally 
used to refer to where one obtained something, like the source of some 
information.

What do you see as the chances of repository also causing issues in 
translation, especially considering your experience with the translators 
currently used for primary languages?
