SMART geht nicht über USB. Leider.
The ´usbcypress´ device type is for ATA disks that are behind a Cypress usb- pata bridge. This will use the ATACB proprietary scsi pass through command. There is no autodetection at the moment. The best way to know if your device support it, is to check your device usb id (most Cypress usb ata bridge got vid=0x04b4, pid=0x6830) or to try it (if the usb device doesn't support ATACB, smartmontools print an error). The default scsi operation code is 0x24, but it can be overridden with ´-d atacb,0xn´, where n is the scsi operation code. Ich habe gelesen, es soll auch "-d usbjmicron" geben, steht aber nicht in meiner Manpate.
