Das Problem hatte ich nach so ziemlich jedem Supplementary-KDE-Update. AFAIK sollte kdmrc in /opt... ein Link auf kdmrc in /etc/opt... sein, welches von /sbin/conf.d/SuSEconfig.kdm3 aus /opt/kde3/share/config/SuSE/default/kdmrc (kdebase3-SuSE) erzeugt wird.
