Habe mal versuchsweise den neuen Kernel, mit einem patch für pwc, und meiner alten konfiguration kompiliert. Problem was ich jetzt habe, ist dass xntp nicht mehr startet. Habe schon den Firewall koplett ausgeschaltet, jedoch ohne Erfolg. Wenn ich ihn neu starte, erhalte ich folgende Meldung. : /etc/init.d/xntpd start gab 0 (Erfolg) zurück: Try to get initial date and time via NTP from ntp1.fau.de..done Starting network time protocol daemon (NTPD)..done Wenn ich den Status abfrage : /etc/init.d/xntpd status gab 1 (Programm ist abgestürzt und pid-Datei /var/run ist vorhanden) zurück: Checking for network time protocol daemon (NTPD): ..dead In /var/log/boot.msg : Try to get initial date and time via NTP from ntp1.fau.dedone Starting network time protocol daemon (NTPD)<notice>startproc: execve (/usr/sbin/ntpd) [ /usr/sbin/ntpd -p /var/lib/ntp/var/run/ntp/ntpd.pid -u ntp -i /var/lib/ntp ], [ CONSOLE=/dev/console TERM=linux SHELL=/bin/sh INIT_VERSION=sysvinit-2.85 REDIRECT=/dev/tty1 COLUMNS=160 PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin vga=0x31a RUNLEVEL=5 PWD=/ SPLASHCFG= elevator=as PREVLEVEL=N acpi=off LINES=64 HOME=/ SHLVL=2 splash=verbose SPLASH=no _=/sbin/startproc DAEMON=/usr/sbin/ntpd ] done In /var/log/ntp : 28 Dec 21:26:10 ntpd[7258]: cap_set_proc() failed to drop root privileges: Operation not permitted In /var/log/messages : Dec 28 23:32:43 hedi-1 SuSEfirewall2: Warning: ip6tables does not support state matching.
