Wie bringe ich meiner Suse 8.2 mit 2.4.26 (Abit KV7, Barton 2500) das throttling bei? Letzte Woche, nach vielen Stunden der Arbeit, stellte ich per Zufall fest, daß meine Suse 8.2 mit Kernel 2.4.26 throttling unterstützt. Ein /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/throttling gab 0 oder so aus, mit echo "7" > /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/throttling konnte ich meinen Desktop für Pausen hervorragend bremsen und den Stromverbrauch senken. Ziel ist ein suspend-to-ram, was hoffentlich schon mit dem 2.4.26 geht, zumindest aber für meine Pause von 2-4 Stunden den Stromverbrauch der CPU zu senken mit einem throttling von 7. Bis auf toshiba... sind auch alle ladbar und es erscheinen unter /proc/acpi/... auch zusätzliche Funktionen. Ein cat /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/throttling jedoch meldet stets: "<not supported>" - mit oder ohne die Module i, acpi-Verzeichnis. Warum lief throttling letzte Woche mal "zufällig"? Was muß ich tun, daß es wieder funktioniert? Was übersehe ich, was letzte Wochen per Zufall so konfiguriert war? danke schon mal Ekkard
