Hallo zusammen, nach Neu- Aufbau des Systems (SuSE 8.2 ) und anschließendem YaST Online- Update erhalte ich folgende Meldung: "Beachten Sie bitte, dass Benutzer des NVIDIA Treibers diesen nach dem Update des Paketes neu installieren müssen. Befolgen Sie dazu bitte die Anweisungen in unserem NVIDIA Installer HOWTO (englisch), das Sie unter der URL "http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-installer-HOWTO.html" finden." In dem HOWTO steht zu SuSE 8.2 folgendes: II. SuSE Linux 8.2 SuSE Linux Desktop (SLD) ---------------------------- 1) Kernel sources must be installed and configured. Usually this means installing the 'kernel-source' package with YaST2, update it - if not already done - via YaST2 Online Update (YOU) and configure it then with the following commands: cd /usr/src/linux make cloneconfig && make dep 2) Use the nvidia installer for 1.0-5336. sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-5336-pkg1.run 3) Configure XFree86 with sax2 -m 0=nvidia (0 is a digit, not a letter!) NOTE: There is no need to try to enable 3D support. It's already enabled, when the nvidia driver is running. Ignore the misleading error message, that 3D support can't be enabled. This problem will be fixed with SuSE > 9.0 and is related to the latest nvidia driver release." Kurz: das Verzeichnis /usr/src/linux existiert nicht! Der Installer fehlt also! die Grafikkarte ist eine NVidia GeForce2 MX/MX 400 Hab' ich 'was vergessen zu installieren? Ich verstehe das so, dass YaST das Update installiert und ich anschließend die Kommandos aus dem HOWTO anwenden muss um das Ding fertig zu konfigurieren. Ich bin für jeden Lösungsvorschlag dankbar.
