Hi Freaks, Samba hat's mir angetan.... Also, ich nutze Samba im gemischten Linux / Windows Netz. Letzteres für Übergangszwecke leider unvermeidlich. Möchte nun vom Linux Client ein Share auf den Samba Server mounten. /usr/bin/smbmnt hat suid-root und trotzdem kommt bei mount oder smbmount folgende Ausgabe: xxx@pc1 ~ : mount /mnt/samba Password: cannot mount on /mnt/samba: Operation not permitted smbmnt failed: 1 xxx@pc1 ~ : xxx@pc1 ~ : smbmount //public/samba /mnt/samba Password: cannot mount on /mnt/samba: Operation not permitted smbmnt failed: 1 xxx@pc1 ~ : Als root funzt es aber, als user xxx nicht und das trotz 0777 Rechte für /mnt/ samba. Nach chown xxx:users /mnt/samba geht es aber. /etc/fstab - Auszug - Client: //public/samba /mnt/samba smbfs noauto,user,rw 0 0 samba.conf Auszug - Server: [samba] path = /usr/share/samba read only = no public = yes writable = yes guest ok = yes Kann ich kein allgemeines Share Verzeichnis auf dem Client einrichten wo alle User zugreifen können, oder was mache ich verkehrt?
