Nein, gebootet wird von einer 6GB IDE -Platte. Ausserdem werkelt da ein PII 333 rum, da ist noch nix mit ACPI !
Dann schalte es vorsichtshalber aus, kernel-option "acpi=off" und direjkt auch "noapic".
Dann sollte auch der Raid-Treiber nicht in der initrd sein, habe ich mal gehört, /etc/sysconfig/kernel chekcen.
Aber ein "dmesg|less" und anschauen ob es irgendwelche Fehler gibt ist auch nicht verkehrt.
