Wenn der http-Proxy als localhost:8080 oder auch 127.0.0.1:8080 konfiguriert wird, kommt bei Mozilla bei Eingabe von http://localhost die Fehlermeldung "The connection was refused when attempting to contact localhost"
Was hat der eingetragene HTTP-Proxy mit einer Browserabfrage http://localhost zu tun? Läuft da ein Webserver? [andreas]~ > ps -ax | grep [w]wwoffle 311 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/wwwoffled -c /etc/wwwoffle/wwwoffle.conf [andreas]~ > w3m -dump_head http://localhost w3m: Can't load http://localhost [andreas]~ > su Password: [root]/home/andreas # rcapache start Starting httpd [ PERL ] done [root]/home/andreas # exit [andreas]~ > w3m -dump_head http://localhost HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Wed, 23 Oct 2002 19:47:21 GMT Server: Apache (...)
bzw. bei einer "externen" URL "www.xxx.de could not be found. Please check the name....".
Das klingt, als ob WWWoffle gar nicht läuft: [andreas]~ > w3m -dump_source http://www.google.de w3m: Can't load http://www.google.de [andreas]~ > su Password: [root]/home/andreas # rcwwwoffle start Starting service wwwoffle done [root]/home/andreas # exit [andreas]~ > ps -ax | grep [w]wwoffle 3960 ? S 0:00 /usr/sbin/wwwoffled -c /etc/wwwoffle/wwwoffle.conf [andreas]~ > w3m -dump_source http://www.google.de <html><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"><title>Google</title><style> Reply
