Hier liegt zumindest der Kot rum, jedoch von 1995 ... ob das
funktioniert?

Vielleicht gibt http://www.guug.de/lists/docfs/threads.html#00018
und insbesondere http://www.guug.de/lists/docfs/msg00018.html einige
zusaetzliche Infos:

first text in which I read about such forms of NFS (ab)use).
Unfortunatly it never worked reliable for me and it never got a
wider user-base (actually it seems dead as even the main ftp-server
was closed). [...]"
