Hi,

By de-digesting the FreshMeat [fm] digest, I have found the (apparently)
new version 2.7.5 of your package scala. (Old version last
notified/in tree was 2.7.4).

(This is just for your information. You decide whether to upgrade a package or
not.)

Extra Information:
[030] SCALA 2.7.5

Project Tags: Software Development, Compilers

Description:
Scala is a modern multi-paradigm programming
language designed to express common programming
patterns in a concise, elegant, and type-safe way.
It smoothly integrates features of object-oriented
and functional languages including mixins,
algebraic datatypes with pattern matching,
genericity, and more. It is well integrated with
Java and .NET: the Scala compiler produces standard Java class files or
.NET assemblies, and Java/.NET libraries and frameworks can be used
without glue code or additional declarations.

Changes:
This release fixes bug #1999 (a starvation problem when many tasks are
created from an FJTaskRunner thread). This could result in the JVM
running out of memory. It fixes bug #2000 (Linked actors do not always
terminate properly). This could result in memory leaking in applications
that create many linked actors. It disables reference-counting actors
using WeakReferences, since this could lead to memory leaks; a different
scheme is used. A NullPointerException bug in Scheduler.restart has been
fixed.
