: Hi all,
After hours of discussion and writing on IRC, we've discovered that there is not really any other sensible way to release articles about the conference than this way:
* First the announcement of the conference, with time and date and a link to the website (just a front page) and info about the location and all that. That should go on Wednesday: https://news.opensuse.org/?p=14908&preview=true
This will require URGENT help from the local team: YOU will have to write about Thessaloniki (you can take from Wikipedia...) and especially about the local community - yourselves ;-)
Some history, local events and other stuff that's interesting would be very good.
* Then, we'll announce the CfP together with the opening of registration later: https://news.opensuse.org/?p=15001&preview=true
This includes a mention that the travel committee will provide support (the rules etc can be announced separately) and also has a call for sponsors (so the sponsorship brochure should be done by then). That article we will promote widely.
Meanwhile, the most urgent stuff is the info about the Greekos ;-)
Please get something in that article! Pretty pictures are helpful, too.
/Jos

Stathis is working on some text with info on Thessaloniki/Greece. So we should have some news about that later today or tomorrow.
I think that we only need 3-4 lines about Greece, 3-4 lines about Thessaloniki, mention the airport in Thessaloniki. You think we should add some info on the greek openSUSE community? Maybe photos from past events the gr community participated/organized?
Absolutely. And a little more than 3-4 lines is OK, not a full epistel of course but a paragraph on Greece, a paragraph on Thessaloniki and a paragraph on the Greek FOSS community would be perfect. And yes, pictures, pictures!
Do you have something else in mind?
More detailed information will be of course uploaded, as we go, in the website.
Sure. I've prepared a first version, ready for improvements.

I'm here.
Please do not mention my name since I can reply myself about what I do. ???? The truth is that I prepare something about Thessaloniki and some info like Theo did for Prague, although I didn't assign the task on Trello.
@Jos I prepared something. I hope this is OK for you. Please correct any grammar-spelling mistakes.

The power corrupts. The absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Fear is not real. It is a product of thought that you create. Fear is a choice.
