Hm, your error doesn’t look like SSL cert error. In my installation for ssl errors i did this modification https://github.com/KostyaSha/open-build-service/commit/cbd6f8f61c4c7d2698b45... On Jun 18, 2014, at 0:32 , Smith, Kenneth <ksmith15@jaguarlandrover.com> wrote:
I rebuilt my OBS install fresh from the appliances. Everything looked great. Did a Tizen build. Did a gbs remotebuild. Everything looked good. Then I had another user login and browse to my home folder. He clicked on the "Repositories" tab and kablam! Application Error 500. Reboot? Same error. This time no SSL in the logs.
This is extremely frustrating to say the least. Clicking on a link permanently brings down the entire system? Presumably some data is getting corrupted somewhere. It appears to be limited to the webui, as its logs are the only one showing any problem.
The errors (which are repeated) look like this:
[INFO|#12775] Started GET "/" for 192.168.1.51 at 2014-06-17 20:32:13 +0000 [INFO|#12775] Processing by MainController#index as HTML [INFO|#12775] Authenticated request to "/" from amcgee7 [INFO|#12775] Completed 500 Internal Server Error in 42ms

See my other mail, you have to copy the certs in /srv/obs/certs folder to your system pki directory.

Hello,
My OBS webui installation has become inoperable. I was logged in and browsing when I clicked a link on the ui and got "Application error 500". I restarted the obs services, no change. I rebooted the server. No change. I get the same error from another user's machine.
webui production.log shows this:

I'm not sure why I'm suddenly getting ssl errors, when I wasn't before. I'm not sure where to start in fixing this.
I'm not sure if it's related, but:
I just moved my OBS instance to one hypervisor to another and instead of moving the whole disk image,I started from a scratch hypervisor image from the OBS website and then rsynced over the /srv tree from the old machine. When I try to log in, I get:
OpenSSL::SSL::SSLError (SSL_connect returned=1 errno=0 state=SSLv2/v3 read server hello A: unknown protocol): /usr/lib64/ruby/2.0.0/net/http.rb:918:in `connect' /usr/lib64/ruby/2.0.0/net/http.rb:918:in `block in connect' /usr/lib64/ruby/2.0.0/timeout.rb:52:in `timeout' <snip> rack (1.5.2) lib/rack/sendfile.rb:112:in `call' hoptoad_notifier (2.4.11) lib/hoptoad_notifier/user_informer.rb:12:in `call' railties (4.0.3) lib/rails/engine.rb:511:in `call' railties (4.0.3) lib/rails/application.rb:97:in `call' railties (4.0.3) lib/rails/railtie/configurable.rb:30:in `method_missing' passenger (4.0.33) lib/phusion_passenger/rack/thread_handler_extension.rb:77:in `process_request' passenger (4.0.33) lib/phusion_passenger/request_handler/thread_handler.rb:141:in `accept_and_process_next_request' passenger (4.0.33) lib/phusion_passenger/request_handler/thread_handler.rb:109:in `main_loop' passenger (4.0.33) lib/phusion_passenger/request_handler.rb:440:in `block (3 levels) in start_threads'
Not sure if that's related somehow. I'm going to replace the /srv with the backup to see if that was the cause.
Cheers, Andrew
