Thanks for answer. I'll try it in the right mailinglist. I know the website that you provided, but as you noticed, nothing about uninstall. (btw: %config is not sufficient) Thanks Meike 2013/4/25 Greg Freemyer <greg.freemyer@gmail.com>:

Hello,
I hope I'm not in the wrong list .. I try to build a RPM. All is working fine. But I need that after uninstall of the rpm two files always should be left on disk. If the package is updated, file should be replaced with the file from new rpm.
Is there a way to do this in the spec file?
wrong list, try opensuse-packaging instead.
The only syntax I know that might work is:
%files %config <path-to-config-file>
I found this with a quick google: http://www-uxsup.csx.cam.ac.uk/~jw35/docs/rpm_config.html
No idea if it is still accurate. And it doesn't discuss what happens on uninstall.
