In our local 1.5 instance of obs-server, we have a tool that will branch all packages that depend on a given package. We use it for testing kernel changes to ensure that all the kmps will work after the change, among other things. We recently hit a problem where after the branch is completed, the checkin to update kernel-source fails with the following error:

If I look for 3993e08d51c86f1b190b11a874363ebc in /srv/obs/sources/kernel-source/, I find 3993e08d51c86f1b190b11a874363ebc-MD5SUMS, so is the /LINK not being correctly interpreted as a link to another MD5SUMS file?
IIRC there was a bug in the sourceserver that resulted in such errors. Please try upgrading to 1.6.
