Options are: 1) Modify GA packages. (bad because the original ones are missing than) 2) Always build against :Update repo (bad because of lacking backward compatibility and significant increased load on the schedulers). 3) Create another :Compat project with handselected fixes. The cleanest way but users need figure out the difference of another project. Coolo said after the meeting that he is fine with 1) in some cases. So a minor number of people may still be forced to use :Update, like python database code users in the case of 11.1. But we think this is acceptable. Decision: We will update brp-desktop-check in openSUSE:11.1 and avoid :Compat project. -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-buildservice+help@opensuse.org
