That does not mean that the project is dead.

A good example is the KDevelop3 project. It compiles against ALL repositories 
except Fedora 8 and xbuntu 7.10.
And the reason it does not compile against these two is not because of the 
maintainer, but because of lack of answers from this list.
So sometimes buildservice bugs do not allow packages to build correctly,
but the project is alive.
