Ok, then I'm begging:
Suse requirement "netcdf"
- requires "netcdf-devel" on Fedora (4 and 5 I think)
- and requires "netcdf3" on Debian and xUbuntu (at least I think so - I
hope it contains the header and link library for C)
Is there an automatic RPM-conversion or how do the deb-based
package building work?

I added it at the wiki page in a table.
