Can you even narrow down it's caused by lvm2? To avoid confusion here, I suggest you file another bug, and provide steps to replicate your problem or information to debug:)
I cannot prove or disprove that it is. lvm2 is mandatory[*], so I have no systems running OpenSUSE that run without lvm2. I was just hoping someone
Hi, Don't get me wrong. I'm happy to see your report:) I mean, at least, we can stare at the *console* screen by pressing 'esc' when rebooting, as the way you reported in this issue it's the dm-eventd waiting for exit. For example, I noticed my laptop shutdown very slowly, gave a closer look, it's caused a email-related service 'offlineimap'.
could suggest some steps to debug, because otherwise the report would be
No such suggestion at this moment, sorry. But, I'm also looking for something like 'systemd-analyze blame', which can tell time spent on booting, not shutdown time AFAIK.
"shut down takes a long time, here's the log, can't tell what's wrong".
Go ahead, if we don't have better choice:)
[*] mandatory because OpenSUSE's intaller does not support full disk encryption without lvm2, unlike Fedora.
Thanks for your info. Don't get time to play around this problem. Yeah, will keep in mind. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
