One more info.
It is also possible to induce the crash with a single user. To do so you just
have to
a) open a user
b) invoke the opening of tty1 login via the alt+ctrl+F1 keyboard combi. (Or any
other tty2, 3, etc.
Then the crash is there and you have to hard reset the system (as none of the
consoles are reachable and no other keyboard combi has any effect.
This is repeatable 100% of the time with the 4.4 kernel. It is the same for
sddm in leap42.1 and 42.2.
This bug was not present at the time of release of the 42.2 with the 4.4 kernel
at the time. It appeared afaiu after an update to the kernel shortly after
(about a few weeks after).
It would be nice to give me some indication on how to produce understandable
information on what is going on when this happens. How could I document this?
Thank you.
