To be sure, is it only true for arm-uboot? or (arm|arm64)-efi in 42.2 also use the package from oS:factory, and also follows the openSUSE maintenace update practice ?
No, I literally meant the "u-boot" package! I have not seen this situation yet. If grub2 comes from SP2 then also all its sub-packages should come from SP2. As a side note, I don't think anyone needs grub2-arm-uboot anymore. Feel free to drop it if you enable armv7l for SP2.
