Maybe you could automate it to catch the situation just before the system becomes completely unusable:
I did some more testing on this last night - seems the culprit is the libproxy patch in this case... the PF is too short living (and apparently also not freed), which results in libproxy spawning a new process in the background for each URL it is queried for. This means the problem would only show inside a GNOME and KDE session (as the other plugins do not have to launch a new process to find config settings) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
