Yes, you need to mount he vmblock-fuse file system to make dnd work. I
actually, from my testing I see no difference in functionality with Drag-n-Drop and Copy-n-Paste if we don't execute "vmware-vmblock-fuse". They seem to work just fine. Any ideas?
suggest that you look at the Debian (or Ubuntu) packages for the systemd setup, I think they have done a good job there.
Thanks for the pointer, yes we've looked at this and have attempted to implement a systemd unit file just like this .... but we've run into a few issues that currently prevent us from doing something identical to this. In fact that's my second question I have for you. Does it matter where the vmware-vmblock-fuse mount point is mounted? Could we just as "correctly" mount it to "/var/run/vmblock"?
