Should each dist get its own phonon-backend-vlc pkg, based on the *:Update repo?
Shouldn't be necessary. The latest version (0.8.2) should be fine for all distributions. It can be built with phonon >= 4.7.0, 13.1 has phonon 4.7.1 already (in the update repo). I'd suggest putting it into Essentials (like vlc), as it is used for sound output in basically all KDE4 applications and the desktop itself, for notification sounds e.g. Oh, and while we're at it, phonon4qt5-backend-vlc for Plasma5 and KF5 apps would be nice as well (for 13.2 and up)... ;-) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
