So if that no longer works, we need to fix that patch - no tricks or treats with sed scripts please :)
I was suggesting this kind of solution as I wanted to avoid SUSE specific patches to the code which we have to carry over from version to version.
We have that patch since... 2008 (see bug 432360) - so that's barely an argument now
I would much prefer to have a command line option to override the default setting as this can be done by a startup script as well (depending on a sysconfig variable).
Anything that writes a /etc/ conf file dynamically without user intervention is bad practice imho... let's not do that again: an admin that changes a config file does not expect his config file to be changed on reboot based on *another* config file... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
