http://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=959856 Bug ID: 959856 Summary: Xfce desktop startup hangs when extenal monitor connected Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: Leap 42.1 Hardware: Other OS: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Xfce Assignee: bnc-team-xfce@forge.provo.novell.com Reporter: jack@suse.com QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- I have a laptop (Thinkpad x61s) in a docking station and external monitor connected to the docking station. When I log in from GDM, Xfce desktop doesn't start - first type of the mouse cursor is there for like 5 seconds (circle with several dots), then it switches to the second type of the mouse cursor (circle with an arc going around the circle) and stays like that for as long as I let it (well, I gave up after a minute or two). Several things to note: 1) It used to work fine in 13.2 (I used update from DVD to update to openSUSE Leap 42.1). 2) It was broken the same way during openSUSE 12.x times 3) When I login with external monitor disconnected, desktop starts up just fine. 4) When I switch to text console (Ctrl-Alt-F1) and back while the desktop is starting, desktop starts up fine. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
