This bug is referenced in a release candidate for openSUSE 13.2
(openSUSE:Maintenance:4114). Using that kernel, I can confirm that the issue is
fixed.
However, I wonder how we can make sure the kernel is active when the user
triggers the distribution update to Tumbelweed.
I followed
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Tumbleweed_installation#Upgrade
but there is no mentioning that users should first apply all outstanding
maintenance updates and reboot ?
