Ernestopheles --- On a freshly rebooted system, I see the following: # cat /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/hotkey_all_mask 0x00ffffff # cat /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/hotkey_mask 0x008c7fff # cat /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/hotkey_recommended_mask 0x008c7fff I just found a similar bug: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=849309 It was resolved as WONTFIX based on the assumption that this behaviour depends on the user's configuration.
