Hello Mr Fink,
thank you for explanations.
The installation is openSUSE 13.2, not factory.
Sounds like it's for local users on desktop-installation.
oracle (within the group dba) ist used to start the database from
/etc/init.d oracle-xe with the su-command like it is in postgres
of Michael Schlueter:
the listener:
$SU -s /bin/bash $ORACLE_OWNER -c "$LSNR start" > /dev/null 2>&1
the database itself:
$SU -s /bin/bash $ORACLE_OWNER -c "$SQLPLUS -s /nolog
@$ORACLE_HOME/config/scripts/startdb.sql" > /dev/null 2>&1
where $ORACLE_OWNER is the user oracle.
I installed:
3 partitions with ext4
minimal installation with patterns: file_server, print_server and libaio1,
binutils, gcc, glibc, sysstat, make
no GUI
I tried to write different service-files, but none of them gave success.
Best regards
