http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=911507 Bug ID: 911507 Summary: Wireshark segfault when re-arranging columns in KDE Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE Distribution Version: 13.2 Hardware: x86-64 OS: openSUSE 13.2 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE4 Applications Assignee: kde-maintainers@suse.de Reporter: wmccullen@pima.edu QA Contact: qa-bugs@suse.de Found By: --- Blocker: --- User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/39.0.2171.95 Safari/537.36 Build Identifier: When using Wireshark 1.12.2. I set up a new profile to make use of my most useful columns. I picked a font that is easier on my eyes. I picked DejaVu Sans Condensed Bold. I changed some of the column descriptions to shorten them so that when I do a "resize all columns", they will take up less empty space. Once I did that, I then moved a column by dragging. The application immediately shuts down. When I open it again the columns are arranged according where I released it before it dumped. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open Wireshark and start a capture. Change the font, maybe even set a separate profile. Once you get some data, move a column. Sometimes it takes moving it a few times. You should then get a segfault. If you have not yet experienced a segfault then try right clicking on an item in the packet details window and apply as a column. Then move it a few times. Actual Results: The application immediately closes. Expected Results: Move the column without crashing. I am no expert but I did find journalctl when I went to look for /var/log/messages. Here is an instance.
