Client Desktop
openSUSE 12.3 64bit, NFSv4 enabled
kernel 3.7.10-1.28-desktop
Server 1: openSUSE 11.4 Evergreen 32bit, NFSv4 enabled
Server 2: Netgear ReadyNAS Duo v1, NFSv3
Server 3: SUSE 7.3 32bit, NFSv2 (don't ask :-))
After the kernel update 3.7.10-1.28 the client negotiation about a suitable NFS
version with the servers do not work anymore (trying version 4 first, version 3
second, and version 2 last).
This happens independent of the embed system (fstab, autofs, manual mount).
Server 1 with NFSv4 enabled: no problem to mount the export (like before)
Server 2 with NFSv3: not possible to mount
NFS: nfs4_discover_server_trunking unhandled error -1. Exiting with error EIO
Server 3 with NFSv2: not possible to mount
NFS: nfs4_discover_server_trunking unhandled error -1. Exiting with error EIO
After inserting the exact NFS version in
/etc/auto.nfs e.g.
Server_2 (NFSv3) -fstype=nfs,nfsvers=3
Server_3 (NFSv2) -fstype=nfs,nfsvers=2
i could mount all exports again.
Why don't work the auto negotiation with kernel 3.7.10-1.28 as it did before
with 3.7.10-1.24?
