This means yast2-iscsi-client has to start/enable service 'iscsi' additional to service 'iscsid'? And service can be removed 'boot.iscsid-early' (is obsolete). Is this correct?
The service iscsid is the iSCSI daemon. You do not need to start this one, but you do need to start iscsid.socket. BTW, iscsid.socket should be started by enabled and started by default upon installation.
If the iscsid.service is dependend on iscsid.socket, then the service file must reflect that in its unit file. The section "Sockets" in the iscsid.service unit file seems to be the right place where to express such dependency according to http://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/systemd.service.html .
Bug bnc#847953 already addresses the need to explicitly specify the link between iscsid.socket and iscsid.service. It currently works without that explicit specification because systemd assumes that the two service files are related. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
