https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=839246 https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=839246#c0 Summary: security/john: jumbo patch not applied in rpm build Classification: openSUSE Product: openSUSE.org Version: unspecified Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: openSUSE 12.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: 3rd party software AssignedTo: lrupp@suse.com ReportedBy: rickscafe.casablanca@gmx.net QAContact: opensuse-communityscreening@forge.provo.novell.com CC: lnussel@suse.com, meissner@suse.com Found By: --- Blocker: --- Created an attachment (id=556511) --> (http://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=556511) patch to john spec file taking care of jumbo sources john-1.7.9-5.4.src.rpm from Factory The john jumbo patch included in the src.rpm is seems to not be applied during build. The jumbo-7.tar.bz2 contains files, not a diff patch. The spec line applying the patch seems to expect this source: http://www.openwall.com/john/g/john-1.7.9-jumbo-7.diff.gz I attach a rather crude patch to the spec file that unpacks the files from the "patch" in a second %setup. LDFLAGS include lz and lssl. CFLAGS include -msse4. There are a few new files with the jumbo patch that %install and %files need to take care of. The spec patch is only intended as a pointer and probably needs rework. It has been a long time since I messed with spec files. - Mark -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
